Anxiety

Anxiety can be completely debilitating and can range from mild to extreme. You could be anxious about one particular thing or you could be suffering from 'generalised anxiety disorder' which means that you worry about everything.

If you are living in a permanently anxious state, you might develop certain behaviours including:

Low self-esteem and low self-worth are frequently linked to anxiety.

To be persistently anxious is exhausting and puts your body under stress. You may experience unpleasant physical symptoms such as trembling, fatigue, sweating, having a constantly upset stomach, shortness of breath, tightness in your chest, feeling a lump in your throat, having a dry mouth or feeling fidgety. You may find yourself completely unable to relax.

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in eliminating anxiety. Various interventions can target cognitive, behavioural and physiological responses. These, combined with your own evidence-based exploration of your world will bring fresh perspective to your thinking. By developing the ability to relax, by building your self-esteem and by utilising self-control techniques you will come to new understanding and learn how to experience situations that previously you could not have tolerated.  You will then discover that you can cope, with many situations that you might have been avoiding for a very long time.
